About Us
The Full Story
In classrooms and competitions, Asian Americans thrive. Harvard Business Review notes that Asian Americans make up only 7% of the U.S. population but 50% of the workforce in leading Silicon Valley companies. It's no surprise that Asian Americans excel in math and science, and it's visible in industries like software and AI. But why aren't we more present in the aerospace and aviation industries?
Moreover, the Asian American presence in the C-suite is a mere 1.5%. We have seen that at aerospace conferences, where the CEOs and corporate leaders convene, there is a noticeable deficit. Asian Americans are often seen as quiet, uninspired, and not necessarily fit for leadership roles, despite evidence to the contrary.
Yet these industries are also undergoing exciting upheavals. More countries than ever are gaining access to space. The faces of who belongs in these industries is vibrantly changing, befitting the complexity of the Asian American identity.
Uplifting Asian American voices throughout industry and academia provides new perspectives that strengthen not merely the technological ventures of tomorrow, but global efforts towards our final frontier.
